The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD: A Refreshed Truck
For the 2024 model year, the Silverado HD lineup which includes the Silverado 2500 has been redesigned. There are new grille, headlamp, and front bumper designs, plus many new colors to choose from on the exterior as well. There is also an off-road ZR2 model that has been added. You also will see a larger touch display, a digital gauge cluster, and redesigned center console that is integrated with a wireless charging pad.
Additionally, you are going to see some power boosts to performance, and many new driver assistance features too.
Performance
The Silverado 2500 HD uses a standard 6.6-liter V8 which provides 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. It also offers you a Duramax diesel option which has 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. Both use a 10-speed automatic transmission, and come in rear- or four-wheel drive with either a single or dual rear-wheel axle. In terms of capability, you can expect to find up to 19,000 pounds of towing on gas-powered Silverado 2500 HD models, while the diesel offers up to 36,000 pounds. Additionally, there is ample payload capacity of up to 7,000 pounds available too so you can get everything onboard, and bring your items where you need to go.
Outside the truck, you get your choice of truck beds and will find a Multi-Flex Tailgate with six different functions to help you load and unload cargo from the vehicle.
Interior and Technology
There are many interior configurations you can choose based on cabin size with the new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. What you will find inside is that you can add a lot of premium materials, and experience the latest technology onboard. This includes heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a head-up display, and storage built into the back seat. Connectivity can come from the available 13.4-inch touch display on select trims, while you can also connect with a Google-based infotainment interface, as well as using Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. It also gives you the benefit of being able to store multiple trailer profiles to monitor and controls some trailer functions via a smartphone app, which is nice for people who do a lot of towing.
Safety
There are many driver assistance features, which include a Multiview camera to help you maneuver through parking lots and help merge easier when towing on the highway.
